Since months numerous citizens continuously disappear in unknown ways across all of the city. Underground informants in the streets give word of religious fanatics persuing motives of power and influence, manipulating and abusing weak members of the society on the way.
In the aftermath of a recent shootout at a warehouse near the city’s harbor, a regular looking thug was found dead with a shotgun besides his body. Upon closer inspection of the body an interesting clue came up - a tattooed symbol of unknown meaning, right above the heart on the man’s chest. This being quite a unique place to have this kind of tattoo, the detectives at the city’s police department tried to find out more.
This evening, your boss knocks on your office door. “Miller”, he says, carrying the smell of thick, heavy smoke into the room, “we found new clues about possible connections between the shootout and the disappearing persons. There’s this audio tape, that one of our informants secretly recorded at a bar while having a drink with some random fancy looking dude, much too fancy for the place… he got passed this amulet from him, telling him he can feel free to come to Smith St. corner 5th, any Wednesday evening.” He takes a long drag on his cigarette. “You take a look at this stuff, yeah? Wasn’t there some symbol you guys were on about last week?” Before you can process the information given to you, the loud bang of the door shutting brings you back into the moment and you find yourself alone in the office again, the potential evidence tossed before you.
“There have to be answers somewhere between these informations”, you think, a young detective new to the department, full of motivation to prove yourself and make a difference. You move towards the pinboard and try to visualize what you have at hand…

Well, the premise sounds neat but I'm really not sure what I'm supposed to be doing. I don't seem to be able to actually inspect any of the items, nor can I change where I've placed them or disconnect them from other items.
Thanks for the feedback. A notebook should popup when you hover over an item. Without this information, the game can be confusing. Maybe we should shorten the time for the notebook popup to appear. It is intended behavior that the items can only be placed once so that players have to plan ahead.
